    Stronging considering moving blog sites

Well I am strongly considering moving from MSN Spaces to Blogger. I have started the setup and getting a like categories solution. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Would be interested with any good or bad feed back with the blogger service? My gut feel is the link with Google could be a positive thing (any feed back here is welcome as well).

Hope to have the new site (depending on the feedback) by the end of the week or start of next week.

    Happy Blogging,

    Molly

PS. The new site is a little bit of a mess, will be cleaned up before the offical opening (so to speak)

Hawks V Power on Friday night Footy

Waiting for Friday night footy. Checked out the live score on the AFL site and it is looking way cool. Especially liked the Players stats Ground view.

Well, 5 mins till the Hawks start the trashing of the Primers, better go.

    Happy blogging and GO HAWKS,

Cool free MP3's - Blues Traveler Concerts!

I was looking a while ago for a band that I liked some songs of after finding an old MP3 cd I had at work. The band is Blues Traveler. Thought I would look them up and to my surprise there website was the straight forward, www.bluestraveler.com!

More to my surprise was the fact that they had some free MP3 downloads of concerts and unreleased studio recordings. One of my favorite songs, But Anyway, was often played and so was able to get a few different versions. You might think that this is a bad idea as its a disincentive to buy there music, but in fact, quite the opposite is true. I went to NineMSN's music store to go buy one song they didn't have (Runaround. It was on the Truth about Cats and Dogs sound track a mate reminded me) but was disappointed to find they didn't seem to have it. Oh well, unless they get it in (hint hint if someone from NineMSN or HMV read this), I guess I will keep my eye out when shopping.

    Happy Blogging and happy listening,

    Molly

PS. You know how I hate people whining on there blog and not just contacting the company, just to show I am not a hypocrite (well at least with this anyway), I did try to contact NineMSN to list (not sure thats the right phrase but it will do) the song.

PS. PS. Not strickly a Podcast but I still put it in the podcast catergory

    Naughty Naughty

Was checking out the stats and who has visited the site when I found the following:

    16/06/2005 9:41:05 AM The Mollyzine: The Blog ... http://www.google.it/search

When I followed the link, I found that the search on this Italian version of Google was on "openedge torrent". Hmmm... Is there another product or show or movie or something that uses Openedge? Or is some one trying to acquire Progress OpenEdge products in an illegal manner?

    Shame, Shame, Shame!!

    Happy blogging and good progress.

TPN have Comedy too - Matt, Freak & The Fatboy

If you know about Podcasting, you must know The Podcast Network. If you couldn't careless about Podcasting but you like a good laugh, then go check out Matt, Freak & The Fatboy  and there first show was Pretty good with the highlight to me being the John Howard skit.

Be warned though, it is a bit on the blue/colourful language. Also the first segment could offend.

Happy blogging and laughter makes the world go around.

Hawks V Saints - Saints Win, DOH!

Well, I went to the game and was disappointed that we lost. We where beaten by a better team on the day. I know there is a lot of critism of the game plan but I think the problem is that we don't have a tall forward deep. I was happy with the game Mark Williams played even though he only kicked one Goal, and missed two in the First Quarter. He chased hard all day. He had three players on him at just about each contest. He never gave up and he also continued to do the team thing as late in the game he passed a ball off when he could easily have had a shot at goal.

I actually took my iRiver down to the game as I was planning on recording the Hawks singing the song after the game. I still recorded the song after the game (the Saints song) but was disappointed with the level of singing from the Saints fans. Perhaps this was because I was in a Hawks members area but even looking across to where there was a lot of Saints, there wasn't a lot of singing: Here it is. (This one is for you Frank even though you blogged the Hawks were Woeful!)

    Happy Blogging and Go Hawks.

Hawks V Saints - GO HAWKS

Just thought I would send a quick all the best to my mate Frank, who is a Saints fan (no ones perfect I guess). I am just about to walk out the door and go to the game.

    Happy Blogging and GO Hawks.

    Current Affairs - I couldn't resist.

I love Frontline. Its a TV show that the Working Dog productions (formerly the D-Generation and makes of such movies as the Castle and the Dish) about A Current Affairs show, Frontline, hosted by a airhead, temperamental, host that everyone makes think that he is the one thing that is keeping the show going when he is being manipulated.

The other thing it shows is all the things that current affairs shows (in Australia) do. Some of my favorites are:

    • Cross promotions
    • doing the interview and then doing the "noddies"
    • Doing an interview and then recording questions later
    • Picking on kids in every story (kids these days don't want to work type stuff)

You get the idea. Well, when ever I watch the two main current affairs (and I use this class liberally), A Current Affair and Today Tonight, it makes me say one thing. Hmmm... Martin Di Stasio with that report. (this is in reference to the main report on the show Frontline).

Some of the crap they have on these days is just a joke. And even worst, they are looking for story ideas. So here is the one I put to them:

What a about a story about how Current Affairs television in Australia has gone down the Toilet and just become one big advertisement or poor imitation of Jerry Springer.

If I get a response I will publish it.

    Happy Blogging,

    Molly

Testing, Testing. Perhaps a Podcast to come

Been listening to a lot of Podcasts recently and am thinking of doing one for myself. I annoy the boys over at The Podcast Network with ideas on how to make their product better (it is very good now but everything in life can improve) and they threaten (threaten might be to strong a word) that I should host a show for them. I don't think I have the passion or the time or the knowledge of a subject to do that (although I keep thinking of the TPN review show).

So if I do get this show off the ground it will probably just stuff about our family, and our issues and things like that. Nothing of substances just a bit of fun. So in order to do this, I need a launch vehicle and may have found this in an entry Eric Rice did on his space. I will try it out and see if it works (i.e. that the link below will be picked up by the Podcasting software.

My first podcast enabled file: Patrick singing the Hawks theme.

    Happy blogging,

    Molly

    Klingon software escapes!

One of the best known faces at Progress, Gus Bjorklund (Vice President, Technology, Progress Software Corporation), apart from being known for his contributions and general knowledge on the Progress Database, is also known for his humorous email Signatures. Here is his current one:

"What is this talk of 'release'? Klingons do not make software

'releases'. Our software 'escapes' leaving a bloody trail of

designers and quality assurance people in its wake."
